Another sneek peek at a classic character from The Boondocks Season 1. Here's the original color model sheet of the character from Huey Freeman's Dream named "The Blind Nigga Samurai." This sequence gathered a lot of buzz for us when this episode aired. I was the Co-Director on this episode as well as Lead Character Designer. The design is by yours truly. The boarding was by none other than sensei Seung Kim [link] we make a great team together he and i, lol ( Cough!*BattleEarth*Cough!).

During a run-in at the mall that quickly escalates into a fist fight, grandad get's his ass whoopped by a blind old man. he struggles with putting the incident behind him and keeping his ego intact while being teased mercilessly by Riley. not to mention the local news who caught the incident on tape from the parking lot security camera.lol.


The rest is a sight to behold. if you havent seen it, you're missing out on good Prime Time animated TV quality. It's on DVD now. go get it!!!! This particular episode is my personal favorite of the entire series and has just about everything: nigga moments, bad egos, spit, thrown chairs, Uncle rukus' theory on black fighters, zatoichi and quite possibly one of the dopest, most elaborately conceived fight sequences in American Prime Time tv animation history... it's even featuring "guillotines" by Raekwon from the "Purple tape" classic: Only Built for Cuban Linx during the fight.... i mean come on, fam....crazy!

Fun stuff. Just so you know, Season 2 of The Boondocks is gonna blow this stuff away....
